What is Culture Ireland?

Culture Ireland is the Irish State Agency that promotes the best of Ireland’s arts and culture internationally and assists in the development of Ireland’s international cultural relations. The organisation was established in 2005 by the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism and comprises a board of directors appointed by the Minister and an executive staff led by the Chief Executive.

Culture Ireland Performing Arts Showcases, New York 2010

Over 90 Irish performers and promoters took part in Culture Ireland's promotional initiative to New York in January 2010. This is the largest number of Irish artists ever to travel as part of a strategic promotional mission to the US. Four separate showcases in traditional and contemporary music, contemporary dance and theatre will take place at venues across New York. Read the press release .

The curators of the 2010 Architecture Biennale have been announced by Culture Ireland and the Arts Council.

We have revised the application forms for use when applying to Culture Ireland for funding, either under our quarterly grants scheme or the See Here fund.

We have also refreshed our logo to include our new strapline: promoting Irish arts worldwide.
