How we are funded

Culture Ireland is wholly funded by the Government of Ireland, through the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism.

Culture Ireland has a budget of €4.75m in 2008 to cover grant aid and strategic initiatives. Culture Ireland's budget in previous years was as follows:

• €4.5m in 2007
• €3m in 2006 and
• €2m in 2005.
