Culture Ireland is the state agency for the promotion of Irish arts worldwide, working under the aegis of the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
Culture Ireland creates and supports opportunities for Irish artists to present their work at strategic international festivals, venues, showcases and arts markets.
The agency comprises a board appointed by the Minister and an executive staff led by Eugene Downes, the Chief Executive.

Next deadline for grant applications is 15 March 2012. Applications should be submitted using the online form.
Culture Ireland will support a variety of arts showcases at the 2012 Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference [APAP] in New York from Jan 5-9, 2012. In addition, more than 30 delegates from Ireland representing all art forms will attend the annual conference which coincides with the Under the Radar and Coil festivals also taking place in New York over this weekend. Mr Jimmy Deenihan, Minister for the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will also attend, the first time that a Minister has done so.
APAP is the leading international arts market, networking and showcasing event for North America and Canada. It provides an opportunity for arts professionals to meet international promoters and presenters to pursue showcasing and presenting opportunities, particularly in the North American market

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The next deadline for receipt of grant applications is 15 March 2012. This is for events due to take place from start May 2012 onwards. Applications for any event taking place up to end October 2012 must be applied for by this March deadline, as the Spring and Summer grant rounds are being combined due to budgetary restrictions. The following deadline will be 15 August, as usual, for the Autumn round, with respect to events from November 2012 onwards.

Over €345,000 has been awarded by Culture Ireland to more than fifty projects, across a range of artforms including dance, film, literature, music, theatre, opera and visual arts. Call for submissions for the role of Curator at 13th Architecture Biennale, Venice 2012
The role of the Curator is to originate, develop and implement the concept for the 2012 exhibition. The Curator must have the capacity to work with the appointed Commissioner to deliver the concept to presentation stage. The Curator will be the sole author of the idea and concept.
